What is Platform as a Service?

Platform as a Service facilitates the deployment of email and application servers without the complexities and costs associated with purchasing and managing the underlying hardware and software required to run the application. PaaS offerings usually include facilities for application design, development, testing, deployment and live hosting together with application services. These services are usually provisioned in the Cloud and provided as an integrated solution through the Internet.
